On March 12, we lost a hero, a husband, and a father. Major Alex Klinner, a proud Auburn University graduate and dedicated U.S. Air Force officer, was one of six brave crew members killed when a KC-135 refueling aircraft crashed in Iraq while supporting Operation Epic Fury. He gave everything in service to his country. He was more than a servicemember. He was the one who made everything more fun. The one who always made everything alright. A devoted father to three children and someone who was always ready to help others. May his sacrifice never be forgotten. May his family be wrapped in love, comfort, and community during this unimaginable time.
